Trailer Intelligence™ is a new and market leading concept for trailer asset management. Like TOMR's other products, this is a sophisticated solution that gives fleet managers the information and tools needed to optimise asset utilisation, improve route productivity, provide better customer service and improve fleet maintenance. It also captures other vital information that can be used as actionable intelligence in fleet related decisions.
In its standard configuration Trailer Intelligence provides:
Current Status: Information about the trailer's current location, its speed and connection status (tethered or un-tethered). With the click of an icon on the screen, the trailer can also viewed on a map.
Idle Asset Report/Alert: Provides automatic notifications when your trailers exceed an allowed idle period (time spent at the same location).
Trip Reports: Valuable information on trailer activities including rolling time and stop time to help improve trailer fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.
Trip Replay: The ability to replay segments of a trip over a 48 hour period for detailed scrutiny of trailer activities.
Movement Alarm: Provides an alert notification via email or SMS for unauthorised movement of a trailer (that is un-tethered).
Trailer Utilisation Report: The ability to see at a glance the utilisation of your entire fleet or individual trailers, on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Trailer Odometer: A 'live' odometer reading is calculated using GPS data eliminates the need to manually check the trailer hubometer.
Trailer Maintenance: Trailer servicing dates are calculated from 'live' odometer readings and calculated 'real-time' average mileage rates to provide a maintenance program that is genuinely based on trailer utilisation and not time-based scheduling.
Maintenance Due Notice: An automated notification alerts workshop personnel in advance of when scheduled maintenance is due.
Registration Due Notice: An automated notification alerts the fleet manager in advance of when the trailer registration is due.
Low Battery Alert: If a trailer is un-tethered and the battery charge falls below a threshold level a low battery alert is triggered.
Benefits of TOMR Trailer Intelligence
Compliance: Chain of Responsibility legislation applies to all parties in the road transport supply chain. Trailer Intelligence assists managing these obligations through promoting safer driving, monitoring unacceptable driver habits, smarter maintenance management and the automatic notification of critical breaches.
Reduce Fuel Usage: Better management of a trailer fleet will reduce the number of trips needed to pick-up and drop-off trailers.
Improved Customer Service: Real-time information on trailer activities enables all segments of the company's supply chain to be accurately informed of the whereabouts of trailers and goods.
Reduce Fleet Size: Through understanding how your fleet operates you can manage it more efficiently. Doing the same work with fewer trailers provides a significant financial benefit.
Reduce the Risk of Trailer Theft: While not a frequent occurrence, knowing where your trailers are and being alerted to any unauthorised movements reduce the risk of theft.
Reduce Supply Chain Shrinkage: By defining approved loading and unloading zones and then monitoring the entire journey, you will be automatically notified if cargo is removed at any place other than a designated delivery point (requires optional door or curtain switch).
